Description

Juicy chicken burgers infused with spinach and gooey white cheddar, served on toasted buns with fresh toppings for a wholesome and flavorful meal.


Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken (preferably dark meat)

½ cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

¼ cup shredded white cheddar cheese

¼ cup breadcrumbs (optional)

1 egg

2 garlic cloves, minced

¼ tsp onion powder

¼ tsp dried oregano

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

4 burger buns

Lettuce, tomato, pickles (optional)

Mustard or aioli (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, spinach, cheddar, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide mixture into 4 portions and shape into ½-inch thick patties. Press a thumbprint in the center of each.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
  4. Add cheddar slices in the last minute and cover to melt.
  5. Toast buns lightly. Assemble burgers with toppings and condiments of choice.
  6. Serve immediately while hot and juicy.

  • Use pepper jack or mozzarella instead of cheddar for variety.
  • Add herbs like parsley or chives to boost flavor.
  • Make ahead and refrigerate raw patties for up to 8 hours.
