A quick and fun twist on classic pizza, these biscuit-based waffle-iron pizzas are stuffed with gooey mozzarella and pepperoni, then cooked to crispy perfection in a waffle maker.
Ingredients
1 package (16.3 ounces) large refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
24 slices turkey pepperoni (about 1–1/2 ounces)
Pizza sauce, warmed, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat waffle maker according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Flatten biscuits to fit the waffle maker plates.
- Place 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese and 6 slices pepperoni on one flattened biscuit.
- Top with another flattened biscuit, fold and press edges to seal completely.
- Cook in the waffle maker until golden brown, 4–5 minutes.
- Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Serve hot with warm pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Seal edges tightly to prevent cheese from leaking.
- Customize with different fillings like cooked sausage, veggies, or other cheeses.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle biscuits with garlic powder or Italian seasoning before sealing.
- Reheat in the waffle maker or oven for best texture — avoid microwaving.
