Description

A quick and fun twist on classic pizza, these biscuit-based waffle-iron pizzas are stuffed with gooey mozzarella and pepperoni, then cooked to crispy perfection in a waffle maker.


Ingredients

1 package (16.3 ounces) large refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

24 slices turkey pepperoni (about 11/2 ounces)

Pizza sauce, warmed, for serving


Instructions

  1. Preheat waffle maker according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Flatten biscuits to fit the waffle maker plates.
  3. Place 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese and 6 slices pepperoni on one flattened biscuit.
  4. Top with another flattened biscuit, fold and press edges to seal completely.
  5. Cook in the waffle maker until golden brown, 4–5 minutes.
  6. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  7. Serve hot with warm pizza sauce for dipping.
