Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Cucumber Bites are elegant, bite-sized hors d’oeuvres featuring fresh cucumber rounds topped with creamy dill-horseradish cream cheese and decadent smoked salmon. Perfect for parties or light snacks.
Ingredients
2 English cucumbers, peeled and cut into 1” rounds
1 lb smoked salmon, cut into bite-sized pieces
8 oz cream cheese, softened
3 Tbsp fresh dill, chopped
1 Tbsp prepared horseradish (adjust to taste)
1 Tbsp heavy cream (optional, for creamier texture)
Toothpicks or tiny party forks for serving
Instructions
- Peel and slice cucumbers into 1″ rounds. Arrange on a platter and chill in the fridge.
- In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, chopped dill, horseradish, and heavy cream (if using). Beat until smooth.
- Pipe or spread about 1 tsp of the cream cheese mixture onto each cucumber slice.
- Top with a piece of smoked salmon and secure with a toothpick or mini fork.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate until needed. These can be made a few hours ahead.
Notes
- For a spicy version, add a dash of sriracha or cayenne pepper to the cream cheese mixture.
- Top with capers, dill fronds, or finely chopped red onion for extra flavor.
- Serve on endive leaves or crackers as an alternative base for the cucumber slices.
