Description

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80/20)
4 slices Swiss cheese
2 fresh jalapenos, finely chopped (seeds removed for milder heat)
4 burger buns (brioche recommended)
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 medium tomato, sliced
Condiments: ketchup, mustard, or spicy mayo, as desired
Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
- Mix ground beef, chopped jalapenos, salt, and pepper. Form into four 1-inch thick patties.
- Grill or sear patties 4–5 minutes per side for medium doneness.
- During last minute, top each patty with Swiss cheese and cover to melt.
- Lightly butter buns and toast until golden.
- Assemble burgers: bottom bun, lettuce, tomato, cheesy jalapeno patty, condiments, and top bun.
- Serve immediately with preferred sides.
