Ingredients
4 tbsp butter (or coconut oil for dairy-free option)
10 oz mini marshmallows
5–10 drops orange food dye
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice (optional)
5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Green Mike and Ike candies (for stems)
Instructions
- Melt butter or coconut oil in a large microwave-safe bowl, about 30 seconds.
- Add marshmallows and microwave in 30-second intervals until melted, stirring between each.
- Stir in orange food dye and pumpkin pie spice, if using.
- Mix in Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
- Line a tray with parchment paper. Lightly grease your hands and shape mixture into 2-inch balls.
- Press a green Mike and Ike candy into the top of each ball for a stem.
- Let set at room temperature until firm, then serve.
Notes
- Grease your hands with butter or oil to prevent sticking while shaping.
- Use green M&Ms, pretzel sticks, or candy melts for stems if Mike and Ikes aren’t available.
- For extra flair, pipe jack-o’-lantern faces with chocolate or black icing.
