Ingredients
2 tsp vegetable oil
160 g popping corn
1 tsp piri-piri seasoning (or cayenne pepper)
100 g fresh pomegranate seeds
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large, heavy-based saucepan with a tight-fitting lid.
- Add popping corn, cover, and shake to coat kernels.
- Place over medium-high heat until popping begins, shaking occasionally.
- Once popping slows, remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes.
- Stir through piri-piri seasoning, pomegranate seeds, and a little black pepper.
- Divide between 4 bowls and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust piri-piri seasoning to your heat preference.
- Add pomegranate seeds just before serving to keep popcorn crisp.
- For a milder option, use paprika instead of piri-piri.
