Description

Easy Philly Cheesesteak With Ground Beef delivers the bold, cheesy flavors of the classic sandwich using budget-friendly ground beef, sautéed peppers and onions, and melty provolone in a creamy, satisfying filling.

Ingredients

2 lbs ground beef

1 green bell pepper, chopped

1 sweet yellow onion, chopped

6 oz provolone cheese, diced

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tbsp milk

1½ tsp garlic powder

1½ tsp salt

½ tsp ground black pepper

½ tsp onion powder

6 sub rolls (6 inches each)

Optional garnish: fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over high heat, cook the ground beef, bell pepper, and onion until beef is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain excess fat.
  2. Reduce heat to medium. Add provolone, cream cheese, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and combined. Simmer 3–4 minutes.
  3. Slice sub rolls and fill with the hot beef mixture.
  4. Optional: top with more provolone and broil for 2–3 minutes until bubbly.
  5. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Swap cheese with mozzarella or American for a different flavor.
  • Add mushrooms or hot peppers for variety.
  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Serve in wraps or sliders for different formats.
  • Toast buns to prevent sogginess.
