Ingredients
1 (8-ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
24–32 pepperoni slices
4 mozzarella string cheese sticks, cut in half
1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Pizza sauce for dipping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
- Place 3-4 slices of pepperoni on the wide end of each triangle. Top with half a mozzarella string cheese stick.
- Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle tightly into a crescent shape.
- Place the rolls seam-side-down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each roll with olive oil or melted butter and sprinkle with Italian seasoning for extra flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve with warm pizza sauce for dipping if desired.
Notes
- Add sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, or onions to the rolls for extra flavor.
- Swap the pepperoni for sausage, ham, or even bacon for a different twist on the classic.
- Try using different types of cheese, such as cheddar or provolone, for a unique flavor.
