Description

This creamy and savory Olive Dip combines tangy sour cream, rich cream cheese, and salty Parmesan with flavorful olives and a hint of garlic and onion. Perfectly balanced and easy to whip up, it’s an irresistible appetizer served with crispy pita crackers, ideal for parties or casual snacking.

Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 8 oz. full fat sour cream, room temperature
  • 8 oz. full fat cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon olive brine
  • 5.75 ounce jar olives, drained and chopped (slice a few for garnish before chopping the rest)
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Fresh cracked pepper, to taste

Serving

  • Pita crackers for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine base ingredients: Add cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, dried minced onion, olive brine, and a couple large pinches of kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper to a medium bowl.
  2. Mix until smooth: Use an electric mixer to whip the mixture until it becomes smooth, creamy, and well blended with no lumps.
  3. Fold in olives: Gently fold in the chopped olives to evenly distribute them throughout the creamy mixture. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper as needed.
  4. Garnish and serve: Arrange a few sliced olives on top for garnish if desired. Serve the dip chilled or at room temperature alongside pita crackers for dipping.
  5. Enjoy and review: If you loved this easy and flavorful olive dip, consider leaving a 5-star rating and review to share your feedback.

Notes

  • Using room temperature sour cream and cream cheese makes it easier to whip into a smooth dip.
  • Olives can be customized to your favorite variety; black, green, or a mix work well.
  • Adjust the amount of olive brine to taste if you desire a stronger olive flavor.
  • For a dairy-free variation, substitute cream cheese and sour cream with vegan alternatives.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate covered for up to 3 days for best freshness.
