Description

Creamy and zesty homemade aioli featuring garlic, fresh lemon juice, and a subtle herb blend—ideal as a dip, sandwich spread, or sauce for vegetables and seafood.

Ingredients

4 cloves garlic, minced

1½ tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 cup mayonnaise (or yogurt or sour cream)

½ teaspoon Dijon mustard

½ teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon dried dill (or 2 tsp fresh, chopped)

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Stir together minced garlic and lemon juice in a bowl; let rest for 15 minutes to mellow flavors.
  2. Add mayonnaise (or substitute), Dijon mustard, paprika, dill, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
  3. If possible, refrigerate another 15 minutes to deepen flavor.
  4. Taste and adjust lemon, salt, or garlic to preference.

Notes

  • Switch mayonnaise for Greek yogurt or sour cream for a lighter option.
  • Add cayenne or hot sauce for heat.
  • Stir in fresh herbs like parsley, chives, or cilantro for brightness.
  • Use lime juice or vinegar instead of lemon for a different tangy profile.
  • Try smoked paprika for a smoky undertone.
