Description

Korean Beef Noodles are a quick and delicious dinner option that combines tender ground beef cooked in a savory, sweet, and spicy sauce with linguine noodles. This easy recipe takes just 20 minutes and delivers comforting flavors perfect for weeknight meals.

Ingredients

Noodles

  • 8 ounces linguine noodles

Beef and Sauce

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Garnishes

  • Sliced green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles: Boil 8 ounces of linguine noodles al dente following the package instructions. Once cooked, drain the noodles well and set them aside.
  2. Brown the beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 pound of lean ground beef and cook, crumbling the meat as it browns for 5-7 minutes, or until no longer pink. Stir in 3 cloves of minced garlic and cook for an additional minute to release the garlic’s aroma.
  3. Prepare and add the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together ½ cup packed brown sugar, ½ cup soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, ½ teaspoon ground ginger, ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, ½ teaspoon black pepper, and 2 tablespoons cornstarch until smooth. Pour this sauce mixture over the cooked ground beef in the skillet and simmer for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
  4. Combine noodles and beef: Add the cooked linguine noodles to the beef and sauce mixture in the skillet. Toss everything together thoroughly so the noodles are evenly coated with the delicious sauce and beef.
  5. Garnish and serve: Transfer the Korean beef noodles to plates or a serving dish and garnish generously with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for a flavorful and attractive finish.
