Description

This Homemade Maple Almond Butter is the perfect blend of rich, nutty flavor with a touch of sweetness. Made with just three simple ingredients, it’s easy to make and far more delicious than store-bought versions. The maple syrup adds a natural sweetness that perfectly complements the creamy, roasted almonds, while the sea salt enhances the flavors. This nut butter can be spread on toast, added to smoothies, or simply enjoyed by the spoonful!

Ingredients

4 cups raw almonds (or roasted almonds for a drippier butter)

4 tbsp maple syrup

Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Place the almonds in a food processor and process until the almonds break down and release their oils, turning into a smooth paste. This can take anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the power of your food processor. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed to ensure even processing.
  2. Once the almond butter reaches your desired consistency, add the maple syrup and a pinch of sea salt. Process again to incorporate.
  3. Transfer the almond butter to a sealed jar or airtight container. Store it in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 weeks.

Notes

  • Crunchy almond butter: For a crunchy texture, pulse in a handful of chopped almonds once the butter is smooth.
  • Add-ins: You can add a dash of cinnamon or vanilla extract for extra flavor.
  • Roasted almonds: Use roasted almonds for a smoother, drippier almond butter. Roasting the almonds brings out an extra depth of flavor.
