Description

A warm, comforting apple crisp with cinnamon-spiced apples beneath a buttery oat-pecan crumble—perfectly paired with caramel and vanilla ice cream.


Ingredients

Apple Filling: 10 cups sliced apples, 1 Tbsp lemon juice, 2 Tbsp flour, ½ cup sugar, 1½ tsp cinnamon, ½ tsp nutmeg, ¼ tsp cloves, ¼ tsp all‑spice

Crumb Topping: 1 cup flour, ½ cup packed brown sugar, 2 Tbsp sugar, ½ cup oats, ½ cup chopped pecans, ½ tsp baking powder, 1 tsp cinnamon, ¼ tsp nutmeg, ½ cup cold cubed butter

Garnish: 1 cup salted caramel sauce, flaky sea salt (optional), vanilla ice cream (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 °F and grease a 12″ skillet or 9×13″ dish.
  2. Toss apples with lemon juice. In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, and spices, then coat apples. Transfer to the dish.
  3. In another bowl, mix topping ingredients, then cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle crumble over apples.
  5. Bake 45–50 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Serve warm, drizzled with caramel, sprinkled with sea salt, and optionally topped with ice cream.
