With its creamy texture from cashew milk and the richness of coconut oil, this Golden Milk Latte is not only nourishing but also a delight to sip.
Ingredients
3 cups cashew milk
1 ½ tsp ground turmeric
¼ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
2–3 tsp pure maple syrup (to taste)
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 grind of fresh pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Add the cashew milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, pepper (optional), and maple syrup to a small saucepan. Whisk everything together really well to break up and incorporate all of the ground spices.
- Turn the heat to low-medium and slowly warm the mixture, stirring with the whisk until it reaches a warm, drinkable temperature.
- Transfer the mixture to your blender and add the coconut oil. Blend for about 5 seconds to fully incorporate the oil and make the latte creamy.
- Carefully take the lid off your blender, pour the latte into two mugs, and enjoy while warm.
Notes
- Non-dairy alternatives: You can use almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk if you prefer a different base.
- Sweeteners: Swap the maple syrup for honey, agave, or stevia if you prefer a different sweetener.
- Add more spices: For a stronger flavor, increase the amounts of cinnamon and ginger, or add a pinch of nutmeg or cloves.
- Iced version: For a refreshing twist, make this drink and let it cool, then pour it over ice for an iced Golden Milk Latte.
