Description
Frozen Gummy Bears are a fun and refreshing treat that’s perfect for hot days or as a quirky snack. By soaking the gummy bears in Sprite or 7UP overnight, they absorb the soda and puff up in size, creating a unique texture. Freezing them gives them an extra cool bite, making them a fun twist on the traditional gummy bear snack.
Ingredients
1 package of gummy bears
1 can of Sprite or 7UP (or any lemon-lime soda)
Instructions
- Place the gummy bears in a single layer inside an airtight container.
- Gently pour the Sprite or 7UP over the gummy bears, making sure they are fully submerged in the soda. Seal the container with its lid and refrigerate overnight to allow the gummy bears to absorb the soda.
- After the gummy bears have soaked overnight and doubled in size, use a slotted spoon to drain them from the soda.
- Spread the drained gummy bears in a single layer on a plate or tray lined with parchment paper. Place the tray in the freezer and let the gummy bears freeze completely for about 3 hours.
- Once frozen, your gummy bears are ready to enjoy as a cool and fun treat!
Notes
- Instead of Sprite or 7UP, experiment with different sodas like ginger ale, or even fruit juices for a unique flavor.
- Try using other gummy shapes or even gummy worms for a fun twist on the classic gummy bear.
- For extra flavor, soak the gummy bears with fresh fruit slices or berries in the soda before freezing.
