Description

French Fry Casserole is a hearty and comforting dish that combines savory ground beef, creamy soups, and crispy golden fries all baked into one delicious, easy-to-make meal. Perfect for a busy weeknight, this casserole is sure to satisfy even the pickiest eaters!

Ingredients

2 pounds lean ground beef (90% lean)

1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed golden mushroom soup, undiluted

1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cheddar cheese soup, undiluted

1 package (20 ounces) frozen crinkle-cut french fries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks, until it’s no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the golden mushroom soup and cheddar cheese soup, mixing everything together until combined.
  4. Pour the beef and soup mixture into a greased 13×9-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Arrange the frozen crinkle-cut french fries on top of the beef mixture.
  6. Bake, uncovered, for 50-55 minutes, or until the fries are golden brown and crispy on top.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Add Vegetables: Mix in some frozen peas, corn, or green beans to the beef mixture for added flavor and nutrients.
  • Spicy Kick: Add a dash of hot sauce or sprinkle some red pepper flakes on top for a bit of spice.
  • Different Fries: Try different types of frozen fries, like waffle fries or shoestring fries, for a unique twist on the casserole.
  • Cheese Lover’s Version: Add shredded cheese (like cheddar or mozzarella) on top of the french fries for an extra cheesy layer.
