Ingredients
Meatballs
- ½ lb ground beef (80/20)
- 2 tsp garlic, minced
- ¼ cup yellow onion, finely chopped
- ⅓ cup Parmigiano Reggiano, grated
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, minced (or 1 tbsp dried)
- 1½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
Sliders
- 1 lb block mozzarella, sliced into ½-inch slices
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 (12 count) pack King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
Garlic Butter
- ½ stick butter, melted
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic, minced (or paste/powder)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, minced (or dried)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a tray with parchment or foil.
- Mix beef, garlic, onion, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Roll into 2–3 oz meatballs and bake 20–25 minutes.
- Mix garlic butter ingredients in a small bowl.
- Slice Hawaiian rolls in half and place bottoms in a greased 9×13 baking dish.
- Layer with mozzarella slices, baked meatballs, marinara, and shredded mozzarella.
- Top with roll lids and brush generously with garlic butter.
- Bake 8–10 minutes, until golden and cheese is melted. Cool 3–5 minutes before serving.
