Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning mix

1 cup salsa

10 small flour tortillas

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the beef: In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Once browned, drain the excess fat.
  3. Add seasoning and salsa: Stir in the taco seasoning and salsa. Cook for about 5 minutes, allowing the mixture to heat through and the flavors to combine.
  4. Layer the casserole: In a 9×13-inch baking dish, layer 1/3 of the meat mixture at the bottom. Then, place 3 tortillas over the meat, tearing them to fit if necessary. Sprinkle 1/3 of the shredded cheese over the tortillas.
  5. Repeat the layers: Repeat the layering process two more times: another layer of meat, tortillas, and cheese, ending with cheese on top.
