Ingredients
2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
Salt & pepper, to taste
Flour, for dredging
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons butter, divided
1 whole head of garlic, cloves peeled
1/2 cup chicken broth or stock
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup heavy/whipping cream
Chopped parsley, optional for garnish
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise to make four thinner cutlets. Season with salt and pepper, then dredge lightly in flour.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter, then garlic cloves. Sauté 3–4 minutes until lightly browned.
- Add chicken broth, lemon juice, and garlic powder. Simmer for about 4 minutes to reduce slightly.
- Stir in cream, then return chicken to skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes until sauce thickens and chicken is heated through.
- Garnish with parsley if desired and serve warm with your favorite sides.
