Ingredients
1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
2 large eggs
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Additional chocolate chips for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 or 9×9 baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
- In a large bowl, mix cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract (if using) until smooth.
- Stir in chocolate chips evenly.
- Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan and top with extra chips if desired.
- Bake for 22–26 minutes until edges are golden and center is just set.
- Let cool completely in the pan.
- Lift out using parchment and cut into squares. Serve as desired.
