Description

Whimsical blueberry cookies inspired by the Pokémon Oddish, featuring a soft, chewy texture and charming leaf-topped design, with a hint of real fruit flavor.

Ingredients

1½ cups (180 g) all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled

¼ cup granulated sugar (50 g)

⅛ cup packed brown sugar (25 g)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 large egg

1 tablespoon freeze-dried blueberry powder (6 g)

24 tablespoons blueberry jam (14–42 g)

Blue and green food coloring

1 tablespoon melted milk or dark chocolate

1 tablespoon melted white chocolate

Pink or red oil-based food coloring

Instructions

  1. Whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, combine melted butter, sugars, vanilla, and egg until smooth.
  3. Mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully incorporated.
  4. Remove 3 tablespoons dough and tint green. Add blueberry powder, jam, and blue food coloring to the rest and mix.
  5. Chill both doughs for 20–30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Line trays with parchment.
  7. Shape blue dough into footballs and attach small dough balls for feet. Form leaf clusters from green dough and place on top.
  8. Bake for 9–11 minutes. Cool on tray 5–10 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
  9. Decorate with melted chocolate for faces. Tint white chocolate with pink/red for blush and pipe on.

Notes

  • Chill dough longer to prevent spreading.
  • Use freeze-dried blueberry powder for natural flavor and color.
  • Tinting white chocolate requires oil-based coloring to avoid seizing.
  • Cool completely before decorating for best results.
