Description

Crockpot Beef Stroganoff is a creamy, comforting dish made with tender beef, mushrooms, onions, and sour cream in a slow-cooked sauce, perfect for easy and hearty family dinners.

Ingredients

10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 oz envelope onion soup mix

8 oz sliced mushrooms

1 yellow onion, finely diced

lbs beef stew meat, cubed

1 cup sour cream

16 oz egg noodles (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a crockpot, stir together cream of mushroom soup, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and onion soup mix.
  2. Add mushrooms, diced onion, and beef. Stir to coat evenly.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours, until beef is fork-tender.
  4. Skim excess fat. Stir in sour cream until combined and warmed through.
  5. Cook egg noodles per package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  6. Serve the beef stroganoff over egg noodles. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a lighter option.
  • Add beef broth or extra soup for more sauce.
  • A splash of white wine or Dijon adds depth.
  • Substitute beef stew meat with sirloin or shredded roast beef.
  • Garnish with parsley or chives before serving.
