Description
A quick, easy, and healthy 3-ingredient avocado bread made with ripe avocado, cheese, and egg. This crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside bread is perfect as a low-carb snack, breakfast, or sandwich base.
Ingredients
1 ripe avocado
1 large egg
1 cup shredded cheese (Mexican blend, mozzarella, or cheddar)
1 tbsp Everything but the Bagel seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mash the ripe avocado with a fork. Add the egg and shredded cheese, and continue to mash and mix until everything is well combined.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Divide the mixture into 3 balls and place them on the sheet pan. Flatten them into patties. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
- For the air fryer, preheat to 375°F (190°C) and line the basket with parchment paper. Divide the mixture into 3 balls, flatten them into patties, and air fry for 18-22 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let the avocado bread cool slightly before serving. Enjoy on its own or topped with your favorite ingredients!
Notes
- Customize with spices like garlic powder or onion powder for added flavor.
- Use any cheese variation you prefer, such as mozzarella, cheddar, or a Mexican cheese blend.
- Top with a fried egg, bacon, or sausage for a heartier meal.
- To make it dairy-free, use a dairy-free cheese substitute or omit the cheese entirely and add more avocado for creaminess.
- Can be frozen after cooling. Reheat in the air fryer or oven to regain crispiness.
